Year round volunteering
Support BRPM all throughout the year by participating in after-school programming, joining a volunteering team, or lending your expertise to BRPM to help us grow!

The Band Coach is passionate for music and supports youth musicians as they navigate the challenges of creative exploration and collaboration. The Band Coach also documents the band’s journey, helps them organize their materials, and handles set-up/strike of the BEATS space. Ongoing support and training is provided through regular communications with the BEATS Lead Instructor and fellow Band Coaches.
Requirements
* Musical experience and/or youth programming experience is a plus but not required.

BEATS youth have guest speakers come and talk about the process of making a song, music video and recording their music.
If you have expertise in:
Songwriting
Digital Music Making
Music Video Production

Come in and help BEATS youth record their song. If you have experience with recording and mixing music, this is the perfect role for you!

We’re seeking volunteers who can lead workshops such as: Songwriting, Silk-Screening, Self-, Spoken Word Workshop, Combatting Relational Aggression and Bullying, Intersectional Feminism.
We’re also interested in proposals for workshops on other relevant topics that align with our mission and enhance the experience at BRPM. Send your suggestions to info@girlsrockboston.org along with your application.
All Workshop Leaders meet with the Program Director prior to the session.

Volunteer Teams
BRPM Teams consist of staff, board members and volunteers and have flexible commitment to fit your busy schedule. Lend your expertise or get involved in an area that you are interested in learning about.

This team is made up of research professionals and folks with experience in program evaluation. This group's focus is evaluating BRPM’s programming (both youth and adult) so that we have data to show where we are succeeding and feedback for how to better serve our participants.

This team consists of mental health professionals, teachers, and youth workers. This vital group helps BRPM’s staff and volunteers better engage and support our youth who have a wide range of needs, identities, and, often, barriers.
